The fastest way to bring something into your life is to first plan what you want and then imagine what it will be like to have it.

The left hemisphere of your brain helps with the first part of this process – it helps you to organise your thoughts into a clear plan so that you know what you want. The right side of your brain then helps you to imagine (using feelings and emotions) so it becomes a reality.

Try the following exercise…

Write down what you believe are the most important values or characteristics your ideal partner should have (for example, happy, in balance, collaborative, helpful, truthful, etc.).

Now prioritise those values or characteristics. What qualities are most important to you? Do any of the values contradict each other? Are they your highest values or those of your parents, your colleagues or society?

Check carefully and write down your true values.

Once you’ve done that, relax and imagine your ideal partner, the man who has the values or characteristics you have just identified. What does he look like? How is he dressed? What expression does he have on his face? What colour hair does he have? What colour are his eyes? What does his voice sound like? How tall is he?

Now imagine he’s holding your hand. What kind of music are you both listening to? Where are you? Do you share the same interests? What are they?

Make the image as vivid as you can.

Whatever you think about and expect is what you will get. Hundreds of thousands of people around the world have used this technique – called ‘creative visualisation’ – to attract what they really want in their lives.

This is the most powerful tool you can use to get what you want in your life.

Key Points:

• Write down all the values or characteristics you want your ideal partner to have.

• Check carefully and keep only these values that are really yours.

• Imagine the appearance of your ideal partner.

• Clarifying what you want and then imagining it as real (creative visualisation) is the most powerful way to bring about what you want in your life.
